Il termine “smartphone” in questo contesto mi suona male-
Lo sostituirei con qualcosa di più generico, questa è una narrazione posizionata nel 2050. E’ facile prevedere che tra 32 anni “smartphone” sarà un termine antico, più o meno come “magnetofono” o “mangiadischi” oggi.
Uhm… il tele-phone serviva a trasmettere la voce lontano. Lo smart-phone serve a compiere attività abbastanza complesse da apparire intelligenti. Si va verso un futuro dove si farà tutto con un terminale del genere. Quindi forse… olo-phone?
Hai ragione. Suona male anche a me, ma è necessario utilizzare un termine che sia familiare al lettore di oggi. O almeno facilmente riconoscibile. La proposta di Doc ha una sua logica, ma non mi convince del tutto. Tu cosa proporresti?

Il secondo difetto è che è un termine generico – alla fin fine vuol dire “apparecchio” – e in un racconto i termini generici suonano deboli.
